Airport Charges
There are a number of taxes and charges associated with operations throughout Australian airports. This includes the Passenger Movement Charge of A$38.00 – also known as Departure Tax - which is levied by the Federal Government.
Other charges include the Fuel Surcharge, which has been introduced by the airlines to cover the increased cost of fuel, and the Airservices and Fire Fighting Charges, which are levied by Airservices Australia.
All of the taxes and charges are paid by the airlines and included in your airfare, so there are no added taxes to pay when you visit Perth Airport.
For more information on the taxes and charges, please contact the Department of Transport and Regional Services on +61 2 6274 7111 or visit www.dotars.gov.au. Alternatively, please contact Airservices Australia on 1300 301 120 or visit www.airservicesaustralia.com.
