Ecology Culture Heritage
Two environmentally significant areas – Precincts 5 and 7 – were designated as reserves in the 1999 Perth Airport Master Plan and again adopted in the Master Plan 2004. Important habitats for a diverse range of fauna – including the Southern Brown Bandicoot – are preserved in the conservation areas. The conservation precincts represent 310 hectares, or approximately 30% of non-aeronautical zoned land at Perth Airport.
