ENVIRONMENTAL INCIDENTS

Westralia Airports Corporation (WAC) has an established system for recording and reporting incidents that result in, or have the potential to result in, adverse environmental impacts.

WAC’s 24 hour emergency response system ensures that all environmental incidents are dealt with in an effective and timely manner.

Details of all environmental incidents are recorded in an Incident Register.  All environmental incidents are followed up and include an investigation into the cause of the incident and identification of potential control measures where required.  Remedial actions are jointly determined with relevant WAC staff and the Airport Environment Officer (AEO).
