The approved Perth Airport Environment Strategy 2009 sets out the principles for environmental management of the airport. The Environment Strategy is reviewed every five years and, after a 60 business day public comment period, is submitted to the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government for consideration. It provides a responsible and structured management approach to monitor, report and prevent or minimise adverse environmental impacts, and also details auditable environmental commitments.
The Environment Strategy 2009 builds on the previous Environment Strategies, which received the approval of the (then) Minister for Transport and Regional Services in 1998 and 2004 respectively and endorsed by the State Government.
Hard copies of the Perth Airport Environment Strategy 2009 may be viewed at, or purchased from the Westralia Airports Corporation, 2 George Wiencke Drive, Perth Airport.
