Assessment of Applications

Perth Airport receives many sponsorship enquiries and attempts to fund as many as possible.

Sponsorships are selected on the basis of those that provide broad community support and demonstrate Perth Airport’s commitment to the tourism and aviation industries.

Every applicant for sponsorship will be advised of the outcome to their sponsorship enquiry. However, Perth Airport does not have to provide a specific explanation when a sponsorship enquiry is unsuccessful.

Community Support

As such an integral State and community asset, the airport recognises the need to contribute to and support industry and community initiatives.  For the second consecutive year, Perth Airport was the Partner Sponsor of the Western Australian Tourism Awards.  The airport also sponsored the Perth Convention Bureau’s Inaugural Tourism and Aviation Scholarship.
 
Several other community initiatives were also proudly supported by Perth Airport in 2005/06, including the Qantas Airways Charity Golf Day, the Taxi Council of Western Australia’s Taxi Driver of the Year Awards, the Belmont Small Business Awards and Youth Focus’ Hawaiian Ride for Youth, among many others.
